This parade wagon was originally purchased as a turn of the century Massey Harris manure spreader. When purchased the wooden box was rotted away and most of the moving parts were rusted beyond repair. However the frame and wheels were in surprisingly good condition. The wheels were removed and even the bearings looked new and still in grease.

The tail gate of the wagon is also removable. Additionally seats pads were made for passenger comfort. The box is 11 ft 5 in long and 3 ft 5 in wide. Total width is 5 ft 9 in and total length is17 ft 6 in.

The frame was then sand blasted, cleaned, and primed. The frame and wheels were painted to match the silver paint of the Farmall H tractor wheels. A wooden box and seat were constructed from poplar lumber and painted to match the Farmall colors. McCormick Deering decals were also added to match.

Because the wagon was designed to be pulled on the street, ¾ inch thick rubber strips were wrapped around each wheel to protect the wheel and the street. The rubber is mounted to each wheel using 1/4 carriage bolts and is easily removable should the need arise.

Since the spreader was originally horse drawn, a removable tongue was constructed of pressure treated 4 x 4 lumber. Irons were placed on both ends to allow easy hook up to the tractor and the wagon itself.
